Mobility of doctoral students
Based on the observation that research activity is largely a collective activity based on encounters and exchanges, and that it is rich in a diversity of approaches and practices, the GdR MACS proposes to make the network of its members teams available to young researchers. The GdR would like to encourage mobility during the course of a thesis, as a priority for those for whom such mobility is not an integral part of their thesis. Mobilities are very positive on an international scale and some doctoral schools co-finance them, but they are also very relevant at lower cost on a national scale.
In 2022, the GdR MACS , in coordination with its members teams , is launching a new programme to support and fund mobility during the course of a thesis. Doctoral students wishing to benefit from this programme are invited to fill in an online form. Applications will be examined on an ongoing basis by the Management Committee.
The form includes :
- identification of the doctoral student (first name, surname, laboratory, team, thesis supervisors, doctoral school, establishment of registration, title of thesis)
- a description of the planned hosting (MACS member team, people contacted, description of the desired scientific exchanges, duration beyond 2 weeks)
- the support requested from MACS (description of estimated costs, description of support already obtained or in progress, etc.)
- validation by the thesis supervisor + head of the hosting team.
The whole process is carried out online and requires the three people concerned (doc., thesis supervisor and team leader) to have first filled in their MACS Affiliate form. If you have not already done so, log on to the GdR website and then access your Affiliate form.
