The MACS GdR and the Club EEA jointly organise the Prize for the best theses of the GdR MACS and the Automatic Control section of the Club EEA. Since 2020, SAGIP has also supported this thesis prize. Since 2017, this thesis prize has been awarded annually. The aim of this event is to distinguish the best research work carried out as part of a doctorate in the scientific field covered by the GdR. Prizes are awarded for the quality of the work and its presentation, whether it concerns fundamental research or more applied research. Applications for the thesis award are made by the research unit directors. Applications must be submitted at the beginning of January for theses defended the previous year. A jury is then set up. First, it draws up a list of nominees. It then selects a winner from among these. In some years, there may be ex-aequo winners.
