Networks

The purpose of the GdR is to network research personnel and their scientific output.

To achieve this, MACS relies, on the one hand, on a census of individuals working in the scientific field covered by MACS, known as Affiliates, and, on the other hand, on a membership of research teams in France whose activities are mainly related to MACS themes, known as Member Teams.

Affiliates

Anyone involved in MACS research activities

  •  Researchers
  •  PhD students
  •  Teacher-researchers
  •  Pre-thesis students
  •  Engineers

Whether he or she is

  •  In a research unit of a higher education or research establishment (GdR member teams or not)
  •  In companies (or other players in the socio-economic world)

MACS membership is free of charge. Affiliates are invited to update their personal information regularly (see the affiliates page for instructions).

Members Teams

These are research teams set up within research units in France, where a significant proportion of permanent researchers and teacher-researchers are affiliated to the GdR. The term “team” refers to a variety of operational structures (team, group, pole, department, laboratory, etc.) whose manager is the point of contact for interaction with the GdR management. The manager is able to relay requests and information transmitted by the GdR, and provides up-to-date information on the team's scientific activity. Among other information, the team leader enters the team's keywords. Based on this information, the GdR produces a community map (see the member teams page for instructions).

The second feature of the MACS network is the sharing of its scientific output. Although it is difficult to draw up an exhaustive inventory of all the production, thanks to the information provided by Affiliates, the GdR produces a map of theses, HdR, significant publications and software produced by the community.

HAL Collection

Regroups theses and HdR defended by MACS Affiliates. To register, send the link to the open archive to contact-gdrmacs@services.cnrs.fr.

Software

Includes software and other code developed by MACS teams. Affiliates are invited to submit a description of the tool by log in on to the website and adding software content.

Publications

Includes significant publications such as books and special issues of journals to which GdR affiliates have contributed. Affiliates are invited to submit a description of the publication by log in on to the website and adding publication-type content.
